Derringer RDA Design
There are three components to this RDA: the deck, an airflow control ring and the top cap.åÊ
The deck has a three-post design with a copper center post for enhanced conductivity. At the bottom of the post is an adjustable copper 510 pin that protrudes enough to make it safe for use on hybrid mechanical mods. Along with the center post, another impressive feature is the size of the post slots. The post slots are large enough to accommodate dual coils made with 24-gauge wire or a single 22-gauge coil comfortably. Since the Derringer uses hex grub screws, the connection will be good. In addition, grub screws are less likely to back out on you and result in poor connections. Despite the small size of the Derringer, the deck is actually quite spacious and easy to build on. The juice well is also much deeper than you would imagine on such a tiny RDA; however, you should still be careful to avoid over-dripping.åÊ
The airflow ring has three sets of three holes that are each about a millimeter in diameter. It can be set up for dual or single coils and the o-rings are loose enough to make adjusting your airflow easy. However, many vapers may still find the airflow to be restrictive in both of these configurations. If it is too tight for you, the good news is that you do not need to use the inner airflow ring at all. You can simply pop it out and fit the top cap back on the deck for maximum vapor production. Due to the small chamber, you can still get good flavor and plentiful vapor with the right build.åÊ
Options for your Derringer top cap are black, stainless and copper.
